So today I finally just made the leap and went to visit the community. After not being able to contact them for so long, I was nervous, but it was easy-peasy and they were really nice. Friday I go back at 4 o'clock to find out who I'm living with- they had to look for someone with an open room that could house me. And while I was talking to a guy on the bus, a primary school teacher whose name I can't remember but started with a Y (aha! it's Yurian!), I learned that a town called Pueblillo has internet and it's only 3 km away! I could even walk that! The community is even more lovely than I remember it- there's all sorts of birds and plants and flowering things and domestic animals and people riding horses and EVERYTHING. Plus loads of mangoes on the ground and squirrels eating tamarinds in the trees. And it's nice and quiet and a bit cooler than Papantla- heaven.
So that settles it; everything will work out the way it works out, for the best in its own way and I don't feel like such a dreary dark storm-cloud anymore, hiding the light of the sun.
